Windup Celluloid Santa w.Lantern in Original Box - Prewar Japan
This large 8.75 inch, all original windup Christmas Santa sways his head from side to side as he raises his arms, holding a bell and a lantern.
The red of his outfit is a bit pinkish and his hat and the front of his coat is slightly faded. It's of a very delicate construction
and with the lantern that is often replaced. I have seen very, very few of these over the years and, until now, have never seen the Original box that goes with it.
The four corners are split and still have remains of Scotch tape. Slight bubbling of paper label but until now it's the only one known to exist.
