    Description

This is a lovely piece of pressed milk glass produced by the Westmoreland Glass Company, a company founded in 1899, in Grapeville, Pennsylvania.
Originally intended as a child’s round butter, this 3 ½” dish features the company’s “Thumbelina” pattern.
A well in the center would have held the butter and a domed lid would have served as a cover.
Unfortunately the lid is missing but in its place is an emerald green glass votive candle holder that fits perfectly into the well of the base.
This glass holder measures approximately 2” in diameter and 1 ¼” in height.
Despite a few tiny and barely visible chips along the scalloped rim of the base and some minor scuffs/scratches and a few manufacturing flaws on the candle holder (shown in last photos), this set is in good vintage condition with no other evidence of damage.
