Rare Sandwich Glass Pressed Toy Clear Flint Glass Pitcher & Bowl Set, c. 1835-1850. This rare toy lacy glass pitcher and bowl set has a simple paneled design. This is a thick flint glass toy bowl, with a paneled design and a matching handled pitcher. This is listed in "A Guide To Sandwich Glass Witch Balls, Containers and Toys" By Barlow and Kaiser, #3317, where a pitcher and bowl in clear glass listed for 0 back in 1987. This Sandwich glass toy lacy glass pitcher and bowl set is offered here with no reserve and a "Buy It Now". SIZE: The toy glass pitcher is 2 5/8" H.. The bowl is 13/16" H. x 3 1/16" Dia. CONDITION: Very good condition with a couple of tiny nicks to the rim of the pitcher. The bowl is also in very good condition with some minor roughness to the rim of the bowl. For child's glass this is really excellent condition for a 150 year old glass toy. Barlow states in his book on toy glass, "slight chipping that doesn't penetrate the scallops should not deter from the value".
