MARX TIN & LITHOGRAPHED FREIGHT TRAIN WINDUP TRAIN AND LAYOUT PLAY SET

Description

Up for auction is a Marx tin and lithographed windup freight train set and layout. We have been going through items in a remote warehouse that have been collected over the years that I am tasked with offering out on eBay. This is one of those items. As you can see, the base layout has a bright and relatively clean lithographed finish . However, the red and plastic roof of the freight station  is chipped on some of the edges and there was a whitish round mark of sticker residue that I have mostly removed with a touch of Goo Gone. There is a bar on the underside that connects the crossing gate and I am guessing a signal. The signal is missing its top so it does nothing. The train itself does work but could used some lube on its gears to enhance its windup function. It has a tendency to come out of its track by that bar on the crossing gate side but I believe with some adjustment it would be fine. It is a pretty piece that would be great for display.

SHIPPING POLICIES
** Buyer agrees to prepay final auction price plus shipping and handling.
** We ship small items and international items via USPS Priority mail and larger or heavier items via UPS. If customs duties are assessed, these are in addition to your shipping charges and must be paid directly by you. No refunds will be given for items that are seized at your local customs office. Nicholas Smith Trains will not be held liable for any customs duties or taxes that arise from your local customs office, nor will we be held responsible for any additional fees the local carrier in your country may charge.
** We will combine items to save you money whenever possible.
** We generally charge 1-2 dollars for packing and handling. However, larger items or an auction with multiple items (a train set for example) may incur a larger handling fee. If you check my feedback you will see many comments about the quality of my packaging. However I remind you good packing takes time and costs money.
** When shipping via UPS we are not able to ship to P.O. or A.P.O Boxes. An actual street address is required.
PAYMENT POLICIES
** If you win multiple items do not pay until you have received an invoice from me combining shipping and handling costs.
** Full payment of invoice is expected within 7 days of sending your invoice. If we do not receive your payment in that time frame and you have not notified us of special circumstances, we will use the eBay Non Paying Bidder Alert system to remind you of your obligation.
** Payment - We prefer PayPal.
** Pick-up at Nicholas Smith Trains, 2343 West Chester Pike, Bromall, PA 19008 with the option of additional payment arrangements can be accommodated.
** Pennsylvania residents will pay 6% Pennsylvania Sales Tax. If you are a Pennsylvania business and have an exemption certificate you must contact me directly before the close of the auction to make arrangements to place your exemption certificate on file. Failure to forward you certificate as required will result in your being charged sales tax.

Unfortunately I am not able to be an expert on everything that has ever been made, but do my best to accurately describe each item. That being said, we are not unreasonable.
