Beautiful glass from the roaring twenties
RARE 85 - 90 YEAR OLD GLASS TREASURES
The immense variety of hand paintings, wheel cut designs and casings used in the
    manufacture
of this and many other items from the 'Roaring Twenties' could never be done today without an incredibly expensive product as an end result due to the labor intensive work these processes involved.

Here is a lovely 3 piece console set from the 1920’s consisting of a centerpiece bowl, more yellow than amber that could be considered either somewhat Flanged or with a heavily rolled edge and a pair of candleholders, most definitely amber, very similar to if not actually so, the #1054 Candleholders by Westmoreland Glass. All 3 pieces are decorated with nicely detailed wheel cut festoons and flowers around the entire edge of each piece. The bowl measures 12-½” in diameter x 3” high, the candleholders 3-¼” tall with a base diameter of 4-11/16”. I could not find the exact bowl shape in any Westmoreland books or catalogs that I own and the candleholders, although seemingly identical to #1054 Westmoreland candleholders are in fact just a bit different in some dimensions, leading me to believe they are from another glass manufacturer of the time. I could also not find the exact cut decoration as is on these pieces, but a very similar one with tassels instead of the flowers on these. All the years I have had this set, I was under the impression it was Westmoreland Glass, as it was labeled as such by the seller. But upon researching it, I now have my doubts. Whoever the manufacturer, it is still a fine, fine example of 1920’s glassware.\
