1972 BMW 2002. California Rust free. Born in Germany, Imported through Bridgeport, Ct, Spent the rest of it's time in Ca.First registered in 1972. I've owned this car since 2009. 58338 miles, with a clean Ca title in my name.This is not a 100 point car. Just enough of a project to keep an enthusiast happy while enjoying the car.A little bit about the car.. It has a replacement motor from a 1983 320i, with electronic ignition. 2 barrel Weber carb. Trans is the original 4 speed, new clutch. Recent re-spray, keeping the original Rivera Blue.Other recent upgrades include seats reupholstered in black vinyl, new black carpet. The door cards are in good shape and the original blue.Mechanical improvements include new front brake calipers and rear wheel cylinders. This was followed up with brake system flush and pressure bleed.Next on the list was 4 new tires mounted on 13" Alpina wheels.(Westlake RP-18 in 185/70 r13).Suspension is good with stock springs, front and rear sway bars and Bilstein shocks.This car runs, drives and stops like it should. All the lights work, as do the wipers.You could get in this car and drive it home About those few little things,.. Head light Low/High beam switch is broken, BMW no longer sells the exact switch for this car. The wiper switch is broken. Both these issues have been solved with a work around. Without cutting any original wires, I've put the functions on switches in the center console.
