Wow, a factory red with red interior and no vinyl top.....and it was born this way! Very desirable. Factory air conditioning that works too. This is a real GTX with original fender tag.
EXTERIOR: This is a factory code R6, it was born Scorch Red without a vinyl top. It is actually a very solid car. Bottom of the doors and fenders are clean. It has original quarters. The body gaps line up real nice,, doors shut easily. The paint is super glossy and really pops out in the day light. It's not a show quality job, it could have been block sand and prepped straighter. Upfront the bumper is rechromed, the grill is good original. It has the correct antenna. The stainless trim around the windows is good. The back bumper was rechromed, the tail lights have been rechromed but have some pits in the pot metal. The tail panel is better than average. The windshield was replaced. Door jambs are clean, weather strips are good. It has new 15 inch chrome Magnum 500 wheels with new BF Goodrich tires on them.
INTERIOR: Interior code P6, it was born red with bucket seats and a console. The seats front and back have been reupholstered. New headrests. The door panels have been replaced, new armrests. The metal trim is repainted. The headliner and visors were replaced. The dome light works, new mirror. It has new red seat belts in front. The red carpet was replaced, it has black embroidered floor mats. The pillars are excellent, it has a new cap on the dash pad. The the instrument panel is in very good shape, the woodgrain panels are excellent. It has the factory radio but there's a stereo hidden in the glove box with two round speakers in the doors. Good original console with working lights and original owner's manual inside. There are three gauges mounted below the dash.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It has a replacement 440 motor from the early 70s. The VIN number on the core support matches the car and it has the original fender tag still attached. Yes, that is a factory air conditioning system sitting there. The compressor was replaced and its been updated with 134a freon. I just tried it myself, there's cold air blowing inside the car. It also features power steering. The engine is clean, has stock manifolds, valve covers and air cleaner. Newer Edelbrock carb with electric choke, the alternator looks recent. It has a hood insulation, the squirters are hooked up, the has power steering battery is bolted down, new fan shroud.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Professionally installed trunk floor. It looks like the original quarters, I didn't see any splices. It's all painted red. It has a reproduction mat. The rim is painted gloss black and it has a brand new BF Goodrich tire. It also includes a jack assembly.
UNDERSIDE: New disc brake conversion in front. The spindles, rotors and calipers are new. Looks like recent bushings on the sway bar, ball joints etc. In back it has new leaf springs and bushings. The fuel tank has been replaced. Dual exhaust system has a crossover pipe and oval chrome tips. Looking up at the motor it is clean, has a new high torque starter. It has a 727 Torqueflite automatic transmission. I will say the floors are really impressive. The frame, rockers and even behind the rear tires are solid metal.
This GTX is 20-25 thousand dollars less then the last several GTXs and Road Runners I've sold and it has so much to offer!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
**These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded and you will be given a 1 year membership.

    About Volo Auto Museum
No other collector car dealer has been in business longer than the Volo Auto Museum.  Owned and operated by the Grams family since 1960.  We are the only collector car dealer that has 4 generations of experience with buying, selling and consigning classic autos.  For our family, classic cars are more than a business, it is a passion.  Over the decades, we have maintained a reputation for dealing with integrity as proven with our high reviews and A+ rating with the BBB.
Buying a classic car can be exciting, but also stressful.  We want to take the stress out of your buying experience by allowing you the time and tools you need to get to know the car you are interested in before making your investment, not after.  Unlike auctions, we allow test drives, 3rd party inspections, the use of our shop and car lift.  No reasonable request will be turned down.
Selling a car can be equally stressful, but it doesn’t have to be.  After reviewing your quality collector car, we will discuss the options we have available to you and let you decide what works best for you.  We have cash available for immediate sales and we also offer a consignment program that surpasses anyone else’s.   Unlike percentage based programs with fees; we work with a no fee, net to owner.  This allows us the opportunity to treat and market your car as if it were our own.  We invest approximately 00 of our own money into marketing your car, which means if it doesn’t sell, we lose, not you.  So, we are more aggressive in selling your car!
